In this interview, we spoke with Luca Maragliano Caranza, CEO of Irbema S.R.L.

TWIG: Hello, Luca! How would you best describe your offerings in a few short sentences, and what makes you so appealing to your customers?
Luca: Hello, and thank you for having me. At Irbema, we specialize in providing comprehensive safety and security solutions, with a particular focus on protecting lone workers. We offer advanced technologies and services that ensure the well-being of employees who operate in isolation. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and adherence to regulatory guidelines makes us a trusted partner for companies aiming to enhance their safety protocols.

TWIG: Why did you choose TWIG as a partner for your projects?
Luca: We chose TWIG because of their professional and reliable products that effectively address the safety needs of lone workers. Their devices are technologically advanced and comply with important regulatory guidelines, such as those set by the Privacy Guarantor in Italy. This alignment with both technological excellence and regulatory compliance made TWIG the ideal partner for us.
TWIG: In terms of advantages, what three aspects make working with TWIG so valuable, beneficial, or fruitful for you?
Luca: Firstly, TWIG's unwavering commitment to quality and innovation ensures we provide our customers with the best possible solutions. Secondly, their products' compliance with crucial regulatory standards is essential in our market. Lastly, the collaborative support we receive from TWIG enables us to continuously improve and adapt our offerings to meet our clients' evolving needs.

TWIG: From your customers' perspective, why do you recommend TWIG components in your projects?
Luca: Our customers value solutions that are reliable, effective, and compliant with regulations. We recommend TWIG components because they excel in all these areas. The devices offer advanced features that enhance the safety of lone workers, and their adherence to privacy and safety guidelines provides employers with peace of mind regarding their legal responsibilities.

TWIG: Do topics like “Made in Europe,” short supply chains, quality, and service play a role?
Luca: Absolutely, these factors are significant. "Made in Europe" is synonymous with quality and reliability, which resonates strongly with our customers. Short supply chains mean quicker response times and better service—crucial elements in our industry. TWIG's emphasis on quality and service aligns perfectly with our values at Irbema, making them a natural fit for our business.

TWIG: Which project you’ve implemented with TWIG best demonstrates your successful collaboration?
Luca: One of our most notable projects was implementing TWIG devices for a major industrial company in Italy with stringent objectives in terms of maximum time to intervene and rescue a person in case of emergency. The project, which was located in 4 different plants, required the location of indoor and outdoor alarms and their dispatch to an external control room. For maintenance workers in underground areas, the amber alert function has proved to be essential, as have the great capabilities of integrating TWIG devices with BLE and RSD beacons. The success of this project has allowed the company to protect the many isolated workers employed in warehouses, offices and underground areas, as well as demonstrating the effectiveness of TWIG solutions and solidifying our collaborative relationship.

TWIG: How does this project protect your customers, and what is the key benefit for them?
Luca: This project provides our customer with real-time monitoring and emergency response capabilities for their lone workers. The key benefit is increased safety and peace of mind for both employees and employers. By utilizing TWIG devices, they ensure help is available when needed, reducing risks and potential liabilities.

TWIG: Are there plans to deepen your collaboration with TWIG in the coming months and years?
Luca: Yes, we certainly plan to deepen our collaboration. As awareness of lone worker safety continues to grow in Italy, we see numerous opportunities to expand our offerings and introduce even more advanced solutions to our customers. Working closely with TWIG will be essential in achieving these goals.

TWIG: What do you wish for from us in the future and for your upcoming projects?
Luca: We hope TWIG will continue to innovate and develop new technologies that address the evolving needs of the market. For our upcoming projects, we look forward to collaborating on customized solutions that meet specific client requirements, enhancing both safety and regulatory compliance.

TWIG: What do you think TWIG should focus on improving?
Luca: While TWIG already offers excellent products and support, there's always room for growth. Focusing on expanding the range of devices compatible with different regulatory environments and further enhancing user interfaces could be beneficial. Additionally, streamlining supply chains for even faster delivery would be advantageous.

TWIG: Luca, thank you for the interview.
Luca: Thank you for the opportunity to share our experiences. We look forward to our continued partnership.
